Paper Selections
Our main selection of watercolor papers includes Crane Ultra Smooth Fine Art and Somerset Velvet for Epson. Both of these papers are manufactured specifically for use in our printers with Epsons Ultrachrome Pigment ink set.
Ultra Smooth Fine Art paper features 100% cotton rag construction and an extremely smooth hot press surface. It weighs 250g/m2, is acid free and PH buffered for true archival performance. This paper is available in any print size.
Somerset Velvet is 100% cotton rag with a velvet texture. It is acid free, and PH balanced. The Somerset weighs in at 255g/m2. This is our most popular stock. Any print size is available on this paper.
For prints 16x20 and smaller we also have 2 photo surface papers available. One is Epson Premium Luster, with a photographic “E” type surface. This is generally the surface you get when you have snapshots printed. This paper lends itself to being handled, as the surface is less prone to fingerprints than a glossy surface.
Also available for smaller prints is Epson Premium Glossy Photo paper. This heavy paper has a high gloss surface, and lends itself to very rich colors and deep blacks. Although it can be handled, it is best used in applications where it won’t get a lot of abuse.
Our choice for Canvas printing is Breathing Color Brilliance 2. This heavyweight water resistant artist canvas has a smooth texture for fine detail reproduction, 100% cotton structure and neutral PH. It’s bright white surface allows maximum contrast and color saturation.
